Is your TV worth testing?
Compatibility depends on the model, firmware, and TV settings. A brand name alone does not guarantee support. Here is where each TV platform stands in beta 0.1.0-beta.4. Windows and Linux native GUI and hardware sleep/wake validation remain pending.

See its status and the setup notes that matter for it. This is guidance, not a model-level guarantee.
Samsung Tizen / The Frame
Integrated in the beta; each TV requires an off test.
- Pairing happens on your local network. Your TV will show an allow prompt the first time; accept it with the remote.
- The app asks you to confirm a physical off test before a TV can be guarded. Watch the TV itself, not the app.
- For The Frame, confirm the screen goes fully dark and Art Mode stops too. If it drops into Art Mode instead, report it.
- No SmartThings, Samsung account, or Samsung Windows software is needed.
- The original prototype powered off a 2021 Samsung The Frame. That is one TV, not validation of every Samsung model.

What we have actually seen. The original prototype successfully powered off a 2021 Samsung The Frame. That does not validate every Samsung model, or this Electron beta on every TV. Your off test is the real answer.
What about TCL, Hisense, and others? These brands ship TVs running Roku, Google TV, Fire TV, VIDAA, and other systems. Check which operating system your TV uses rather than its brand.
